Typhoon Expected to Hit Japan on Wednesday
Prepare for Possible Evacuation
The Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) Tokyo - Typhoon Center, is reporting that a strong typhoon is moving northwest over waters south of Japan. As of 6 pm, it is moving at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour.
The Meteorological Agency has put nine million people under an evacuation order. This is because the country is bracing for one of its worst typhoons in history.
The National Hurricane Center and Joint Typhoon Warning Center are monitoring the storm. The map below shows the probabilities of at least 5 percent.
